Did you come to the J-Town Halloween Extravaganza? If you didn’t, you missed a fabulous, fun time. Fifth Street was closed from Jackson to the IMB. The Wesley Trunk-or-Treaters seem to create bigger and better displays every year. The merchants were loaded with candy to pass out. Taiko was out in force with costumed drummers leading a parade around JTown and performing in the street with Lotus Pre-School being the opening act. The Lions were handing out candy to young and old. SJ JACL had their fantastic Crafts and Games activities charming kids and parents (thank you CYSers Tennesee and Garrett for your enthusiastic help). The Get Down Dancers did their famous Thriller routine. The fire engine and squad car were a hit with the little ones. St. James Center held a dance.
Save the date! October 31, 2019! See you here - in your costume or not – with a kid or not – just ready to have fun and enjoy a community event.
